Breakersweb are a site that specialise in providing customers with used car parts and used van parts at a fraction of the cost of buying new parts from the manufacturer.

The way that Breakersweb works is that visitors fill in forms identifying the parts they require, and then these are sent to various breakers yards and scrap car dealers, who reply with the availability of the parts and the price.

Breakersweb then text or email the best priced 5 quotes to the visitor.

When we started working for Breakersweb they were fluctuating between very low on page 2 of Google to the first results on page 3 for their main keywords “used car parts” and “used van parts.”

The first thing we did for Breakersweb was to overhaul their website, optimising each page for the relevant keyword, but much more importantly changing the layout of the site to encourage more people to fill in the forms, and more people to finish filling them in.

Often the conversion rates (the number of visitors who become customers) is forgotten in the SEO changes, but this is always part of our key focus.

Our changes led to the number of conversions TRIPLING from it’s previous position, and we also in under 3 months managed to get Breakersweb onto page 1 for both “used car parts” and “used van parts.”

Had we have continued with the SEO progression of the site, then we would have had Breakersweb into the top 5 for each keyword in a very short period of time, but as it panned out they were happy with page 1 and stopped our SEO services at that point.

It’s interesting at this point to note the difference that being in 10th on page 1 and 1st on page 1 can make.

In 9th place the site received around 20 visitors per day.

In 4th place it received around 90 visitors per day.

In 3rd place – just by moving up 1 place, it received around 130 visitor per day.

In 1st place you could expect it to receive anything between 250 – 600 visitors per day.
